St. Patrick's Day is an Irish's national holiday. It is celebrated all over the world on the 17th of March. The St. Patrick's Festival last for 5 days. It started in 1996 and since it is held yearly. The great festival is known as on the invested ones in the world. The preparation for the festival in its first years last for 5 months. Now days as it become a giant festival with numerous events, the planning and preparations for the festival take up to 18 months. No event in the world can be compared to it. During the festival, lots of events take place at day time as well as at night. Celebratory events, parties, concerts on open stages, street theaters, family carnivals, A treasure hunt (A game in which players search for hidden objects by following a trail of clues), fun shows and dance shows are held all over the city. Most of the events are free of charge. More than 4000 performers participate in the events while the estimated number of the celebrators during the festival days reaches the million (locals and tourists). (It is recommended to make a room reservation in advance). It doesn't matter if you are Irish or not, Dublin is a wonderful place to attend in March in order to enjoy the giant magnificent fiesta.
