The Christmas Market in the city of Braunschweig (Weihnachtsmarkt), located between Hanover and Berlin, has a three hundred years old tradition.
The market is held during Advent (In the Christian calendar, the first season of the church year, a period of preparation for the birth of Jesus.
Advent begins on the Sunday nearest to November 30 and continues until Christmas). The market's booths located in front of three local monuments: Henry the Lion Cathedral, Dankwarderode palace and Vieweg House.
