Edmonton Dragon Boat Festival is held, every year, in mid August. The festival is focused on rowing groups’ competitions. The boats which participate in the competitions are long wooden boats that their bows are shaped as dragon figures according to ancient Chinese tradition.
The events take place in North Saskatchewan River, in Louise McKinney Riverfront Park.
The rowing groups turn the three days of the festival to an enjoyable happening.
