Gamla Stan, the old city of Stockholm, is an attraction to lot of tourists and people who want to feel the city's unique atmosphere. The ancient city which was established in the 13th century is inhabited nowadays by about 3000 residents who live in the impressive, well preserved buildings from the 17th and 18th centuries. The most significant building is the royal palace.
