The beer festival, PINT Bokbier, is known as the biggest beer festival in Netherlands. The visitors can enjoy tasting of more than fifty various kinds of beer.
More than 70,000 visitors attend the three days of the festival that take place in the last weekend of October The festival is held in the culture center Berlage van Beurs in Amsterdam.

The Dutch United Provinces declared their independence from Spain in 1579; during the 17th century, they became a leading seafaring and commercial power, with settlements and colonies around the world.
