The first Grand Prix in Spain took place in 1913 in Guadarrama in Madrid's region. Since then, Spain keeps the tradition and held the prestigious Formula one race, yearly, in Barcelona (Catalonian region).
This is one of the races that take place in 17 places: Australia, Malaysia, Baharain, Spain, Monaco, Canada, United States, France, Britain, Europe, Hungary, Turkey, Italy, Belgium, Japan, China and Brazil.
Drivers from all over the world participate in the Barcelona's race, as well as in all the other races. An enthusiastic audience of locals and tourists fill the city and wait to watch the famous race in Barcelona's race circuit.
During the race, the city hotels are fully booked so it is recommended to make a room reservation in advance.
World's celebrities that arrive with private planes and luxury cars can be seen among the spectators.
This is a genuine fiesta to motorist sport lovers.

Spain's powerful world empire of the 16th and 17th centuries ultimately yielded command of the seas to England. Subsequent failure to embrace the mercantile and industrial revolutions caused the country to fall behind Britain, France, and Germany in economic and political power.
