Východná which is located in north Slovakia holds every year, one of the known folklore festivals in Slovakia. The festival started in 1953 and is held, yearly, in start July.
It brings more than 1500 folklore shows that represent various regions in Slovakia as well as folklore from other countries played by guest bands.
The festival last for three days and all its events are held in open air in front of 70,000 audiences.
