V Festival takes place, since 1996, during the penultimate weekend in August. This is one of the most requested rock festivals in Engalnd. V Festival is held on two sites on the same time. The same performences are held in both sites on variuos dates. The band that play in the first site on Saturday will play on the second site on Sunday and vice versa.

The evnts are held on:

- Weston Park in South Staffordshire.

- Hylands Park in Chelmsford, Essex.

The Scottish Parliament, the National Assembly for Wales, and the Northern Ireland Assembly were established in 1999, but the latter is suspended due to wrangling over the peace process.
