Amsterdam Dance Event International Conference and Festival for Electronic music is known as the main annual meeting of its kind.

The festival which is focused on dance and electronic music attracts, on the second half of October, more than 100,000 visitors, amateurs and professionals from all over the world. The festival events last for four days.

More than 700 leading DJ’s in Europe participate in the fiesta. Giant dance parties are held in more than 40 venues including the famous clubs of Amsterdam. Among other events, meetings and discussions of various professionals, are held.

Netherlands background and overview
The Dutch United Provinces declared their independence from Spain in 1579; during the 17th century, they became a leading seafaring and commercial power, with settlements and colonies around the world. After a 20-year French occupation, a Kingdom of the Netherlands was formed in 1815. In 1830 Belgium seceded and formed a separate kingdom.
