At 2 pm, you will hear the sound of the Stratford Police Pipes and Drums Band as they lead Stratford’s swans on their annual parade to the Avon River. Folks line the streets to catch a glimpse of our feathered friends as they duck and waddle along the way.  Don’t be late!

The parade starts at the winter quarters on Morenz Drive and continues along Lakeside Drive before entering the river at North Street.

During the event, accommodation in Stratford and around may be scarce owing to higher demands, therefore it is advisable to check accommodation prices and make reservations ahead of time.

The parade is organized by the Civic Beautification and Environmental Awareness Committee along with the support of the City of Stratford’s Community Services. The marvelous noisy parade of the birds marching toward Avon River is a sight of only once a year.

This is a great experience for the whole family.

For accommodations, check the most recommended hotels in Stratford and around, most of them suggest FREE CANCELLATION option or NO PREPAYMENT NEEDED – PAY AT THE PROPERTY:

Canada background and overview
A land of vast distances and rich natural resources, Canada became a self-governing dominion in 1867 while retaining ties to the British crown. Economically and technologically the nation has developed in parallel with the US, its neighbor to the south across an unfortified border. Canada's paramount political problem is meeting public demands for quality improvements in health care and education services after a decade of budget cuts. Canada also faces questions about integrity in government following revelations regarding a corruption scandal in the federal government that has helped revive the fortunes of separatists in predominantly francophone Quebec.

  • SWAN PARADE

THIS IS ONE OF THE BEST PARADES I’VE EVER SEEN . THESE BEAUTIFUL BIRDS STRUT DOWN THE STREET, LIKE ROYALTY. THE ONLY THING THAT THEY DO NOT DO, IS, WAVE THE QUEEN’S WAVE. I WILL COME FOR THESE FESTIVITIES AS LONG AS THEY ARE PUT ON. GREAT FUN FOR THE KIDS ANDS TONS TO DO AND SEE IN THE TOWN OF STRATFORD!
