Anseong which is located 80 km south to Seoul, holds since 2002, every year, the Baudeogi festival. In the evening that open the festival, a festive ceremony and some other events are held and in Baudeogi Shrine in Namsadang.
The visitors can be impressed from the restoration of the ancient market of the town (Anseong) which was one of the three important markets in the period of Joseon (Choson) dynasty between 1392 and 1910.
Among the various shows of the festival, the visitors can enjoy street theater shows with the participation of more than three hundred actors who play for four hours shows based on local historic events, folklore dance shows and local music concert.
