Launched in 2002 as Art Basel’s first expansion beyond its original Swiss fair, Art Basel Miami Beach quickly became the anchor event of Miami’s art calendar, drawing collectors, curators, and galleries from around the world to the Miami Beach Convention Center each winter. What started as a single fair has since spun off an entire citywide art week, with satellite fairs, museum shows, and private collections opening their doors alongside it.

Held annually each December, the fair unfolds across sectors ranging from blue-chip galleries to solo presentations by emerging artists, with a VIP preview preceding the days open to the general public.
