Every year on the last week of December until the New Year day, Cochin (Kerala, India) celebrates the national carnival.
The carnival’s origin goes back to the Portuguese colonial days.
The colorful fiesta starts with painted and decorated elephants’ parade. It ends with traditional dancing and various competitions.
