The Diwali Festival is a celebration of the return of the exiled Hindu God Rama and the victory of the good powers over the evil.
It is held all over India, sometimes in October and sometimes in November.
The believers light lamps all around the house, held torch parades in the streets and carry out ceremonies that symbolized the victory of the good over the bad. They burn dolls that represent the evil.
The festival is accompanied by strong noise of exploding detonators, fireworks that colors the sky, and also by sharing sweets and fruits with relatives and friends.
