The city of Bolzano / Bozen which is the capital of South Tyrol province - Alto Adige/Südtirol preserves tradition of more than two hundred years. Every year the city holds a colorful Christmas market that is known as the biggest in the province.

Bolzano which is considered as a popular winter tourist destination attracts every year a crowd of thousands of locals and tourists who visit the sites in the region and the market in Piazza Walter (Piazza Walther).

Due to the numerous visitors during the Christmas market days and the high demand for accommodations it is recommended to check hotel rates and book rooms well in advance.
