Every year in start April, for almost 150 years, a cruise competition between rowers from Cambridge University and rowers from Oxford University takes place.
 
The competition that preserves the tradition is held in the same course in which the first competition took place tens years ago.
 
Thousands spectators watch the contest along the Thames riverbanks while other millions watch it via television.
