George Enescu Festival

George Enescu Festival is an international competitive music festival that is held biennial (odd years) since 1958. On other years, a talented youth artists competition is held under the festival patronage. This is a classic music festival dedicated to the Romanian composer George Enescu.

The festival is known as the greatest and most qualify music event in East Europe. During the festival, accommodation and tickets may be scarce owing to higher demands , therefore it is advisable to check accommodation and ticket prices and make reservations ahead of time.

The concerts are held in several halls in Bucharest (BucureÅŸti) and the competitors compete in three categories: composition, piano and violin. In addition, concerts are held in open air and films about the composer are shown.
