The King Day is celebrated every year in April 27. More than million local celebrants and tourists sweep to the streets of center Amsterdam. Due to the numerous visitors during the festival days and the high demand for accommodations, it is recommended to check hotel rates and book rooms well in advance.
The city streets are full with stands of fast food, unique flee market takes place, bands are playing on stages in the streets Rembrandtsplein and Prinsengracht. Special performances for children are held as well as street theaters and street parades.
