Macon Cherry Blossom Festival is held every year on spring. The events of the festival take place when thousands of cherry trees plant over the city bloom with its magnificent glory.
Due to the large number of the blossom tree (the Japanese species Yoshino Cherry Trees) the city nickname is “Cherry Blossom Capital of the World”. During the festival, accommodation may be scarce owing to higher demands, therefore it is advisable to check accommodation prices and make reservations ahead of time.
