Madurodam – Netherlands in miniature

The open museum Madurodam which is located near Hague, presents miniatures of Dutch views and buildings in 1:25 scale.
The old museum was established in 1952, in order to commemorate a Jewish student named George Maduro, with the finance of his parents. George Maduro was born in Curacao and fought in the Dutch Resistance. He was murdered by the Nazis in 1945 in Dachau, Germany.

The visitor can watch the miniature airport with planes moving its lanes, trains, Dutch water canals and famous Dutch buildings.
Visiting the museum is a great fun for children and adults.

The museum is open daily from 9:00. Close time varies according to the weather and year seasons.
