Magha Puja is an important day in Buddha’s life and the second important Buddhist holiday after the celebrations of the birth and death of the God. The holiday praised the event when Buddha transferred his main theory to 1,250 monks.
The holiday’s ceremonies are held in all the Buddhist shrines over the country. The most important ceremony with the participation of HM the king, held in Emerald Buddha Temple in Bangkok, is closed to public.
The events take place on full moon of the third month of the Thai calendar.
