Morton Illinois was announced by Governor James R. Thompson as “Pumpkin Capital of the World”.  As such the city holds every year in mid September a great Pumpkin festival.

The festival attracts more than 75,000 visitors, locals and tourists. Thus it is recommended to check hotel rates and book rooms well in advance.

Every year the organizers pick a unique festival theme.
