Once a year, in February or start March (different dates) the Sea Battle of the Flowers takes place.

This traditional event is held in town Villefranche-sur-mer, in the south of France and Europe, in a village in the heart of the Cote d’Azur (between Cannes and Monaco).

The fiasta atracts more and more visitors every year. Due to the numerous visitors during the festival day and the high demand for accommodations it is recommended to check hotel rates and book rooms well in advance. The event is held in the sea in front of Port de la Sante. The crowd watchs the beauty of the decorated drifters.

The boats are decorated with Carnation and Mimisa flowers where every boat represents a different unique motive.
