Peter Tosh is known as one of the most important reggae musicians such as Bob Marley and Bunny Wheeler. From 1963 to 1976 he was one of the leaders of The Wailers band. When he parted from the band he became a solo artist who left his musical mark for many generations. In 1987 he was murdered.
The music festival named after Peter Tosh is a reggae festival that hosts the best musicians and singers. The events at the Peter Tosh Museum in New Kingston City ensure a memorable musical event.
In addition to the concerts, the annual Peter Tosh Award ceremony is held for selected artists who have been recognized as contributing to his musical heritage.
