Two colored Easter markets are held in Prague, one in the Old Town square and the second in Wenceslas square. Tens of booths sell traditional presents for the holiday, handmade wooden crafts, Czech glass and crystal pieces, festive candles, jewelry, etc…
Very significant is the presence of women who wear traditional cloths and draw unique pictures on the traditional Easter eggs, or write on it personal greetings, the colorful Easter eggs symbol new life and the coming spring. Please note that thousands of people, local and tourists pour into Prague and the demand for accommodation is higher than usual, therefore it is advisable to check hotel prices and make reservations ahead of time.
The festive atmosphere, in the squares, is completed by various food stands that sell hotdogs and cold beer.
