The tradition of Prague Marathon races started in 1995. At first only 980 runners participated in the competitive course and 10,000 in the informal course.
In the last years the number increase, in the competitive course and in the informal course (City Run) and it reach thousands of runners, local and guest who come from all over the world.
The race course passes through the beautiful streets of this unique city. It is a round course that starts and ends in the Old Town square. In the end of the race, a noisy Marathon Music Festival is held.
It contains live music shows, parades, dancers and jugglers. These events end the race day in a festive and happy atmosphere.
