Ravenna Festival Autumn Trilogy are an integral part of the Ravenna Festival, the annual international festival of arts and music held in Ravenna, Italy.

The festival is known for its diverse program, which includes a wide variety of performances, including concerts of classical music, opera, dance, theater and visual arts.

In addition to the shows that take place in the summer, the festival holds the “Autumn Trilogy”, in which three different operas are staged on the same stage on three consecutive nights.

Italy background and overview
Italy became a nation-state in 1861 when the regional states of the peninsula, along with Sardinia and Sicily, were united under King Victor EMMANUEL II. An era of parliamentary government came to a close in the early 1920s when Benito MUSSOLINI established a Fascist dictatorship.
