Every year, from end November to start December, the River Kwai Bridge fiestas are held. The famous train bridge was built by the Japanese who used the Allies prisoners of war during WWII as compulsion employees. The bridge is located 5 km from Kanchanaburi in North Thailand.
During the week, folklore shows, travel in the old train, an historic and archeological exhibition are held.
The climax of the events is an audio-visulal performance which shows the legacy of the bridge events which occurred during the war.
