Every year in end January start February, the little village Saranac Lake holds an impressive winter carnival.
The oldest event of its kind in East United States started in 1897 and since it preserves its tradition and takes place every winter.
The Carnival that is held in the Adirondacks attracts large audience who can enjoy diverse activities such as:
- Ice palace built of ice “mined” in Pontiac Bay
- Various sporting events
- Festive parade
- Children parade
- Fireworks show, etc…
