Every year the Municipality of Heraklion organizes a series of events entitled ”Summer in Heraklion” and manages to surprise us every time not only because of the kind of events it presents but also because of their number.
For example, the city of Heraklion is featuring the record number of 200 events! The programme has everything: ancient drama (tragedy and comedy), classical ballet, oratorio, opera, children’s and modern theatre.
The program of the festival runs through early July to late September (Various dates).
