Swissminiature – Melida near Lugano
The open museum Swissminiatur is located in Melida near Lugano in south Switzerland. The great wonderful park presents miniatures of typical Swiss landscapes and buildings.
The old museum was established in 1959 in order to demonstrate the Swiss geographic features, the architecture and culture by presenting it in small models. In addition to the miniatures, more than 1,500 trees of various kinds and more than 15,000 flowers are grown in the park.
The visitor can find landscapes and buildings that represent the various cantons of Switzerland. The museum is very charming and relaxed.
Visit in the museum is a joyful experience for children and adults.
