The Truffles mushrooms are known in Italy as the most expensive mushrooms it can cost up to 1,200$ per one kilo. The famous town with its truffles is Acqualagna. It held three food’s fairs a year according to maturation time of the three kinds of the truffles.

The important fair takes place from the end of October until mid (various dates) November. About 80,000 guests attend this fair every year. Due to the numerous visitors during the festival days and the high demand for accommodations it is recommended to check hotel rates and book rooms well in advance.

Italy background and overview
