The Tucson Desert Songs Festival is considered one of the most important cultural events, guaranteeing music lovers an unforgettable musical experience and pleasure, performed by wonderful artistic groups from Tucson’s leading and high-quality artists.

The audience at the festival, will again this year be able to enjoy impressive performances by world-renowned classical singers collaborating with local creators and artists in a unique format that combines chamber orchestra, choir and solo.

Among other activities there will be lectures, master classes and great concerts in which the Tucson Symphony Orchestra will host famous international soloists. As expected, Tucson Desert Songs Festival attracts many visitors, majority of whom are out of town tourists. Admittedly, hotel rooms during this time are in high demand, surging lodging rates quickly. Therefore, it is  highly recommended to reserve hotel rooms early on to lock in current, more reasonable, rates.

It is known that southern Arizona and the Sonoran Desert, which are considered perfect winter destinations, invite the festival guests to enjoy the comfortable weather, the golf courses, trips to the historic towns in the area, the local restaurants and the abundance of art galleries and more.

The festival’s program, venue, artists lineup information, shows time / schedule of events, how to get, FAQ etc. is present in the festival’s link website. See details below, under “Event Related Information” section.

United States background and overview
Britain's American colonies broke with the mother country in 1776 and were recognized as the new nation of the United States of America following the Treaty of Paris in 1783. During the 19th and 20th centuries, 37 new states were added to the original 13 as the nation expanded across the North American continent and acquired a number of overseas possessions. The two most traumatic experiences in the nation's history were the Civil War (1861-65), in which a northern Union of states defeated a secessionist Confederacy of 11 southern slave states, and the Great Depression of the 1930s, an economic downturn during which about a quarter of the labor force lost its jobs. Buoyed by victories in World Wars I and II and the end of the Cold War in 1991, the US remains the world's most powerful nation state. Since the end of World War II, the economy has achieved relatively steady growth, low unemployment and inflation, and rapid advances in technology.
