The Twelfth Night parade in Barcelona (La Cabalgata de Los Reyes Magos) is a traditional event. It is one of the major winter attractions in Catalonia, just after Christmas and New Year.

This event is held, yearly, on the twelfth day from Christmas, on January 5th, on the Epiphany’s evening. This day, according to the New Testament, indicates the arrival of the three Magus who were the first to worship Jesus and thus caused his revelation to the whole world.

The main events in Barcelona take place at the harbor and in the shopping center Moll de Fusta. The revelation is celebrated by thousands of locals together with lots of tourists, who gather to watch the arrival of the three magi approaching the harbor and welcomed with 21 gun salutes of the coast cannons and with plenty multicolored fireworks.

In addition, a colorful parade marches along the center roads of the city, completes the beautiful events.
