The West Indian American community celebrates, yearly, its’ national tradition and culture on the first Monday of September.
On that day many folklore and music shows that are significant to the Caribbean’s take place.

Thousands of people, local and tourists pour into town and the demand for accommodation is higher than usual, therefore it is advisable to check hotel prices and make reservations ahead of time.

The most important event of the day is a colorful parade that is known as one of the biggest of New York City. The parade goes through the main roads of Brooklyn in front of thousands spectators. No doubt that this is a special and joyful event of the summer’s end in New York.
